![]() I have not had it installed long enough to know, what, if any downsides there are to running Xmouse. NOTE: You can also accomplish this by using the freeware Xmouse software. NOTE: My “usual” pointing device was a Logitech mouse, but SetPoint did not allow me to disable the right mouse button, it insisted on “something” being assigned to it. For now though, not constantly right clicking everything has made everyday computing far less frustrating! My quest for the input devices (mice, keyboards, trackballs, etc…) to compensate for my condition goes ever onward. ![]() Anyway, it held the Driver Software in this tiny disc I installed it and the program for it is 'monitor.exe' if you are running a 64-bit operating system it will show 'monitor. Within it is a small disc, kinda like a Nintendo Gamecube disc if youre old enough to know what that is anymore. ![]() I tried several alternative pointing devices (reviews forthcoming) but the solution I settled on was using the software that came with my EtekCity Scroll 6E mouse to disable the right mouse button and remap it to one of the thumb buttons. I got a mouse from Etekcity called the Scroll X1. It resulted in inadvertent file deletions, folder moves, unsaved work being lost, etc… One of the things about my condition I find irksome is the middle finger on my right hand twitching while using the mouse and constantly pulling up the context menu. I have Parkinson’s and despite the marvels of modern science, it’s not going away anytime soon.
